Our latest QV House Price Index shows values decreased nationally by an average of 1.6% this quarter – a slightly smaller rate of reduction than the 2% quarterly decline recorded back in August. The average home is now worth $901,920, which is just 0.3% higher than the same time last year.

Low sales volumes are causing statistics to fluctuate in New Zealand Aotearoa’s smaller towns and districts, with Kaipara and the Far North featuring among the largest average declines this quarter. Otorohanga and Kawerau saw the largest average home value increases.
